We are so pleased to invite your child to participate in our Children's Discipleship Program held each Sunday evening from 5:30-7:00pm! Next Generation is a life application oriented program for grades K-6 and is designed specifically to serve as our own "Riverview 'Confirmation' Process" as well as a much needed supplement and balance to secular public edcuation with special emphasis on:
- Bible Drill;
- Helping children to understand WHY they believe what they believe;
- Helping children develop a Biblical World View; and
- Encouraging children to develop and enjoy a genuine relationship with our living Lord Jesus!
In order that the children are able to benefit fully from both the Bible Drill and NExt Generation curriculum material, children will need to report directly to their individual classrooms at 5:30pm.
Children will need to be picked up by their parents from their classroom at 7:00pm unless special permission is provided, in writing, to release their child alone to wanter unattended within the church building.
God is absolutely clear that we should train our children in the way that they should go (Proverbs 22: 6), that they should know the Holy Scriptures even from 'infancy' (2 Timothy 3: 15), and that the belt of truth should be buckled around their waist so that they can endure the challenges they face every day (Ephesians 6: 13-14). We need to assemble our children to learn about God (Deuteronomy 31: 12-13) and talk to them at all times about God's Word (Deuteronomy 6: 4-8). It is our responsibility to bring our children to Jesus (Matthew 19: 14), to pray that God will help them accept who Jesus is (John 6: 44) and to teach the next generation so that they will put their trust in God alone (Psalm 78: 1-7)!
