Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our Nursery Services here at Riverview Baptist Church. We have been working very hard to make sure that both you and your child feel secure and comfortable while you are here so that as a parent you can participate wholeheartedly in worship, fellowship and Bible study.
Our goals are:
1. To show Christian love and acceptance to each child in our care.
2. To meet the basic physical needs of each child in our care.
3. To enable parents to participate in the life and worship of the church knowing that their children
are well cared for.
4. To assist the parent in teaching biblical truth to each child on his/her own level.
Please follow these simple guidelines when bringing your child to the nursery
1. First time attenders: please fill out a registration card and pick up a lanyard at your child's classroom. We utilize the lanyard for security reasons and you will need it when you return to pick up your child.
2. Label all belongings: bags, bottles, cups, blankets, pacifiers, or anything you would like returned to you.
Our Healthy Nursery Policy
We cannot and will not accept children who have the following symptoms. Please do not bring sick
children to the nursery.
• Coughing, sneezing, runny nose (unless slight and clear)
• Fever of 100 or higher within the last 24 hours.
• Questionable rash or skin infection.
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
Policy on Aggressive Behavior
In the event that a child shows repeated aggressive behavior towards other children in the nursery,
thereby compromising their safety while under the care of the nursery workers, one parent or guardian
of the aggressive child will be required to stay in the nursery with him or her until the problem is
resolved.
How You Can Help
Serving in the Pre-School department during worship services is an important ministry. See Joyce King if you would like to volunteer. All pre-school worker's are subjected to a background check prior to service in the pre-school area.
• Volunteer to care for our children (screening required).
• Be faithful and prompt when your rotation time comes to serve in the nursery.
• Pray in thanksgiving with fervency and persistence for our children, parents and nursery staff.
• Volunteer to provide the nursery with needed supplies.
»For those already serving see the Preschool Volunteer Schedule at the bottom of the page.«
